So long as the signal levels are healthy (hint: they will be, with a DJ at the faders), the SNR will be fine.

I'd EQ the sidechain so it's activated more by the mid-high range. Stops the bass pulling everything down.
Are there any limiters downstream to protect the speakers?

Not really; it was working fine with phones.

Set a threshold of -10 and a ratio of 15; do you guys think that's more or less correct? Sounds fine with Apple Music from an iPad; can't really test it with a mixer.

can you find a way to skip RCA's ...unbalanced isnt gonna work at 100 ft.

As much as we here all cringe at unbalanced signal over long distances - it's still the de facto standard for residential audio.  Typically a pair of RG59 cables in the better systems.  If they're lucky there'll be a Cat5e/6 to use with baluns or even Dante.  While it's not the right solution - it's usually not bad enough to be the 'hill worth dying on'. 

Quite a few of the residential systems I did, whether Crestron or Savant or Control4 based - would have a pair of RCA inputs on a jack run unbalanced back to the rack for exactly this - for some sort of aspiring DJ to plug in their mixer.
