You will need a small full range speaker with a sound pattern the size of a large car/truck. The sound would be limited to that area and cannot be heard outside of it. You would need a separate speaker for each parking spot. The speakers for the front row would be at windshield level. The speakers for the next row would be higher up on poles/columns/towers and be pointed at the windshields, the next row of speakers above those pointed at the windshields, etc.. The sound from the speakers would need to be automatically synchronized with the radio in each vehicle so its a perfect blend. You would need a computerized processor for this. And behind door number 1 is the not invented yet "Range Processor" in the nightmare stage. Yes the nightmare stage exit right !

Here in Kansas, that would be the "Home on the Range Processor".

Neither deer nor antelope were harmed in the making of this parody...

The FM receivers just need to know how far they are from the nearest PA speaker and be able to insert the appropriate amount of digital delay. A GPS based solution could work. Given the electronics in newer cars, that is actually something that could be done pretty easily if there were sufficient motivation.

As I've mentioned on a related thread, this is all largely irrelevant.

The internal latency of car radios varies by hundreds of milliseconds. This swamps all the effects that have been discussed previously, and renders the whole thing basically impossible.
