Power sequencer for turning on/off sound system wireless
« on: May 09, 2020, 09:05:35 PM »

We have a sequencer that turns on/off the amps mixer etc in order that is in the balcony.
I am looking for a way to add an outlet on the stage that would turn on/off with this sequencer.
There is conduit for low voltage from the balcony to the stage but not for 120 volts.
I have worked with RIB relays a lot and know they have a wireless 120 volt one and but it is recommended for only 50 to 100 feet.
I found some others that have repeaters that would work but the transmitters for everything I'm finding are battery powered switches.
I dont want to add another switch and I  want it hard wired not battery.
So what I'm trying to find is something I can wire in parallel with an outlet in the sequencer that turns on the mixer and that would wirelessly turn on an outlet on the stage that will power the digital stage box at the same time.
Any ideas?
I really dont want to run conduit all the way from the balcony to the stage.

This relay from Furman works to provide a low voltage contact closure that can be used with a Furman or any other brand remote switched receptacle.

Here's a Middle Atlantic remotely switched outlet that is compatible:

Furman, Middle Atlantic, Pyle, ART.

I have the Pyle in the home audio system and use a couple of the ART models in PA's.  The can all do what you want with a low voltage interconnect trigger.
