Unable to upload photos
« on: April 22, 2018, 08:18:57 pm »

It appears the forum software is not allowing me to upload images (gif, jpg, jpeg, etc...).  The sizes of the images are below the 512K limit.  After I attach an image and submit my post to the forum, a message appears and says that my image failed a security scan/check.  I'm on a Linux OS using the standard/default security permissions when creating files.  Changing of the security permissions (from read/write to everyone to read-only for everyone) did not correct the issue.

Thoughts?

I just got the same thing, any ideas.
I'm using Firefox for what ever that is worth.

I just found that GIF images would work, JPG would not.

Here is an old photo that I just uploaded successfully. I don't know why you are having difficulty. I set the horizontal size to 800 pxl.

I'm not having difficulty, the forum software is the problem.

I had 2 pix to upload, both under the required spec.  No go.  JPG.  PNG.  Errors.

Converted to GIF as another user recommended.  It worked.  Fix the software.  Please.

Don't use the forum software for images.  There is a site called imgbb.com that does not require registration.  Better yet it generates BBcode the forum software understands and generates an inline preview of the image.  Just  upload to imgbb.com click on bbcode, click the copy to clipboard icon and paste it in your forum message.
