WOW!
What a goldmine of information.
I just read "Popular Electronics" from July 1958.
Same vintage as me......
Thanks.
Chris.

One more vote of gratitude for the link!

Spent an hour reading some of the old Radio Electronics mags from the late 70s and early 80s. I actually built one of the TVRO (home satellite receiver) systems described in one of the 1980s Radio Electronics. Ordered the bare, etched circuit boards from a guy in South Carolina, and the transistors, coil forms, and ICs from Newark and direct from Hewlett Packard (at the time the source of ultra low noise HEMT microwave transistors). It all actually worked! Made friends with the local CATV system engineer and he let me test and tune the NE564 PLL video demod board and the 70 MHz IF filter using a tap straight from their head-end's 16 ft Scientific Atlanta dish.

Love this site. Thank you!

FYI: If you're looking for something specific (company, radio call letters, etc.) add site:worldradiohistory.com to your google search. Google is a better search engine on PDF files than this sites' search.
