Led UV spots went out of control
« on: February 16, 2020, 07:45:22 AM »

Hi, recently our companies bought led UV spots, and we used them for our show.
They can be controlled via DMX 512.
As the show proceeded, suddenly they went out of control. Some of them changed their mode to sound active mode although we did not sent any DMX signals whatsoever and they went out of control.
This spot has a sound active mode, 3-Pin DMX connector, and it can be also controlled by remote controller.
We used them through Art-net systems, and we connected DMX line of these spots with other different kind spots. We thought that compatibility of Nodes and spots were bad as well as the compatibility with other spots were instable.
Then, we tried setting these spots with individual DMX line, but the situation were not improved.
We thought that probably it has a problem relating to radio wave or the environment (maybe noises around the place would influence?), but we did not figure out any possible causes.
Does anyone help us for giving some ideas?

A few questions:
What DMX controller or software are you using?
What fixtures are they?
What addresses did you assign to the fixtures?
Did you use the same address for like fixtures?

More questions.
How many total fixtures on the chain?
Are you using a terminator?

A single wonky fixture can wreak havoc on the whole chain, so try checking them one at a time, or removing one at a time.
