Volunteer Training Seminar
« on: January 10, 2006, 01:20:40 PM »

I was wondering if anyone has attended the Church-Sound Workshop by How-To Sound Workshops at http://www.fitsandstarts.com.  Are they worth attending?  I am looking for ways to better train the volunteers to run sound.  The one reason these are appealing is the location,  so it saves on cost.  I am in the Washington DC area.  If you know of any other basic sound seminars please let me know.

Well, after I visit their site, I wonder how they teach sound workshop in just 3 hours for basic and 8 more hours for Intermediate class? They must be really good or their student ARE genius.

Personally, I wrote a book called 'Sound System Handbook' written in Korean back in 13 years ago and I've been teach sound system last around 12 years. I need at least 20 hours just go thru a to z. Without basic theory, that's nothing.

If you need similar seminar? just go to Willow creek art seminar or something like that.
