I only just saw that Tim Brooke Taylor passed away last month. I rarely get to hear about British celebrities passing out here in the US. Sadly he died from complications of Covid-19 at 79.
He was a firm favorite of mine ... check out his very early work with John Cleese and Graham Chapman in 'At Last The 48 Show' and tell me this wasn't the predecessor to and inspiration for Monty Python. I never realized this because I had only ever seen MP - The 48 Show was before my time.....

Bob Kulick of Kiss, Meatloaf, WASP, and Lou Reed's bands. Plus, he was a songwriter on Spongebob

Debbie, I am lucky enough to be of an age where I was exposed to Tim Brooke-Taylor from his first appearances on TV here in the UK in the early 60s through all his TV and radio shows, and like you, he was a firm favourite of mine. There was a very nice memorial programme about him on the BBC a couple of weeks ago entitled 47 Years without a clue - A Tribute to Tim Brooke-Taylor that is available on BBC Sounds, but I fear it may be IP - blocked/restricted outside the UK. The 'Without A Clue' refers to his appearances on I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue - referred to by the BBC as 'The Antidote To Panel Games - for 47 years (the show has run since 1972). The show is very addictive and Tim's appearances were always very funny - especially his mastery of 'One song to the tune of another' (it has to be heard to be believed).
He was also the co-writer of one on the funniest, and best remembered, British comedy sketches of all time - 'The 4 Yorkshiremen' which was often mistakenly attributed to the Monty Python team as it became a feature of their live shows.
He will be sadly missed by many people, myself included.

Sadly he is virtually unknown out here having spoken to some friends about him. Such an amazing talent and inspiration
I will look for the documentary and try to track it down ....RIP MR. Brooke-Taylor.

Right. And you just try and tell kids that today, and they won't believe you! ;)

From Tom Pettys FB page...

It is with our deepest sorrow that we must report another loss in the beloved Heartbreaker family. Tom and the band’s monitor extraordinaire, Greg Looper, passed away yesterday. He was young, he was special, had a gentle soul, and he left us much too soon. Our deepest condolences to his family, and to Heather Rafter, and all who loved him. Greg was always helpful working his best to achieve that perfect mix in the ears of the band. All of us will miss him deeply. Tom respected him and loved him just like a member of his own family. They are together now. Rest easy, dear friend.
