Land Mobile in WWB
« on: November 29, 2019, 03:08:36 PM »

Hi all!

I've seen some IAS-based coordinations that included Land Mobile (Part 90 for the Yanks) frequencies in them; what's the best way to include them in WWB?

Thanks!

Hi all!

The big problem with attempting to add in LMR is that WWB6 does not accept step sizes of fractional kHz. Thus 6.25 kHz and 12.5 KHz, standard LMR tuning steps, are not permitted and eliminates 75% of possible LMR frequencies in use.

Create a new equipment profile:
- Manufacturer = "LMR", "2-Way", etc.
- Model = [I have two profiles; "Analog" and "Digital"]
- Band = "VHF" (136-174), "UHF-Low" (403-470), "UHF-Hi" (450-520)
- Power = 1000mW, 2000mW, 4000mW, 6000mW, etc.
- Frequencies = 136 to 174; 403 to 520
- Step size = 6kHz is the closest that will work
- Filtering Selectivity = 24kHz across the board for analog; 18kHz for digital
- Channel Spacing =  24kHz across the board; 18kHz for digital
- IM Products = 24kHz across the board; 18kHz for digital
