IAS Intermod calculating question...
« on: November 26, 2019, 04:12:26 PM »

'Do frequencies in a second zone which are minimally separated from the first zone's primary freqs, ALSO avoid the IMD freqs in the first zone?

No, they do not.  Zone to zone calculations only avoid direct hits, with a channel spacing margin defined by each equipment model.  Advanced users can override those spacings' parameters, if they know how.

+1...and...IAS has no way of knowing (or entering, for that matter) the distance between zones. Knowing and managing those kinds of parameters are a human factor, and the reason we still have jobs!

The latest version of Wireless Workbench *does* let you control whether it calculates intermod frequencies between specific zones, and even whether various zones should worry about direct conflicts.  Very handy for large areas or gear being used at different times.
