Solar powered generator on a trailer ---grounding question
« on: November 21, 2019, 01:43:27 PM »

We are working on a project for a portable solar powered refrigeration unit, but need to meet sufficient requirements for grounding the system while moving around the US for demonstration. We know we shouldn't ground to the chassis of the trailer, but want any input of requirements or experience.  We're reviewing the NEC code assuming a recreational vehicle, but not sure whether 590 Temporary Installations fits the bill for show and tell applications.  Can any engineers familiar with NEC code comment on definition and/or recommendations?  http://www.solarxworks.com/index.html https://johnstonpe.com/solarpowered/
