Anybody found a Par 38 LED replacement that works?
« on: November 19, 2019, 12:57:43 PM »

I have several Par 38 cans around that I could use, if there is an LED lamp that is worth anything. Especially if it's 90+ CRI.

If there's not I'm probably going to toss them.....

Have you found anything useful?

Bullwinkle: This is the amplifier, which amplifies the sound. This is the Preamplifier which, of course, amplifies the pree's.

I just put these in my Par 38 front wash cans. I am stunned at how great they look, with a nice even spread. They are dimmable, and they work really well.

think those would work in a PAR 56 ?  I expect I would have to wire in a new socket... might be worth it to avoid scrapping some old cans though.

There are several LED par lamp replacements hitting the market now.

Make sure you get a dimmable version though....

This GE 32-watt PAR38 is 3500K and comes in 15/25/40 degree spreads. Quite bright and smooth. Dimmer compatibility varies. 80 CRI.
ETC has tested on their various dimming products. See
https://www.etcconnect.com/Support/Dimming-Switching/Compatibility/Compatibility-Database.aspx?manu=GE&voltage=120VAC&device=PAR+SERIES&dimming=&system=
which is a great resource.
