Okay, last but not least. The mixing board that I was using was hit by a power surge during a storm when it was loaned out to the local community theatre. When the board was repaired the service center called me and said, we needed to call you and let you know that we can’t warranty the repairs because anytime a board is hit with this type of damage we can’t be sure that something else will not fail.

Board glitch maybe?

Umm, ditch the board.
ANYTHING hit by a power surge and needing repairs is no longer reliable.
IF it was a board glitch, it is only the first of many.
Now, I'm not saying that it was the board, not enough "evidence". But, if it was........
Chris.

Ya, Whatever. Just throw a '57 on it, and get off my stage.

I have had a QU drop out before caused by a thermal issue-but I would not expect that outdoors unless the mixer was in sunlight.  There is a CPU temp readout on a diagnostics screen-it was reading somewhere around 67-68º C.  Placing a small fan blowing under the mixer alleviates the issue.

You didn't say if you have the console connected to stage boxes, but in my early digital days I experienced brief drop-outs when people were "dancing" on my CAT 5 cables.  Not always, just sometimes.  I try very hard to make sure that are inaccessible to the audience now.

Bingo! Two shows ago it was Bluegrass at a outdoor fundraiser, next show was a Celtic band from Canada for a different outdoor fundraiser, no issues. This show country, rock and pop...issue. So I am guessing the QU is not keen with the genre change. But how do I find a board without bias?

Old school. Using two small analog snakes one to back one to front with short mic cables. Console was setting stage side..

I agree. I am going to change it out once I recover from the T602 purchase.
