Anyone know Dante technology?
« on: October 24, 2019, 06:49:31 AM »

Hi all

I am doing some research on an Australian company Audinate that looks to be doing really well with their audio networking technology Dante. Is anyone based in Australia that knows this technology and uses it? I am interested to hear from you for your thoughts on it!

What exactly do you want to know? Doing a search through any of the threads dealing with Dante on this or other forums would probably get you want you need faster than waiting for people to chime in here. Dante has been around for over a decade and is a well-established protocol in the pro audio space, so there's a wealth of info out in the wild.

I would go to the source, Audinate is proud of their technology and wants people to know about it, and the company.  I would ask them, and then look at some of their case studies as a source for other people to talk to.

Taylor,  A researcher, able to actually do complex searches of Internet sites?  Surely you jest, they just "tap the hive mind" and contact some influencers.

These people are as deluded as the .doc "build it and they will come" crowd.   The problem is the investors are putting money behind these less that full formed ideas

Damn, I must be doing something wrong, then. I can barely afford Mackie in a Meyer world!

Yep and when they find out they can't turn it into an industry and monetize it the investors will come take away their precious Herman Miller chairs and that will be the end of that.

What passes for sustainable business models today is a joke.

To the OP, if you feel like we are making fun of you at least you have some degree of self awareness.
