Yes, it is true. I will be at AES looking for work and doing AES related business. The silver lining is that I will be able to attend some sessions that I otherwise would have missed.

I'm sorry to hear that, but certain that it'll only be bump along life's road.  I hope working with that group was as cool on the inside as it looked from the outside.  It must have been exciting to be among innovators of that caliber.
