I just downloaded the manual on my MEGAPAR PROFILE PLUS lights.

It states:
5 DMX Modes: 4 Channel Mode, 5 Channel Mode, 6 Channel
Mode, 9 Channel Mode, & 10 Channel Mode.

So, I need to do some more research on which mode I'm in and perhaps re-assign the DMX addresses. But, as of now, i think I'm in working condition.

Unless I'm mistaken, each fixture is 4 channels.
When I only plug in the first fixture to DMX 001, fader 1 is RED, fader 2 is GREEN, fader 3 is BLUE, fader 4 is UV.

Fader 5 doesn't do anything to the fixture. So, using that, I'm assuming the fixtures are 4 channels?

D'oh, You stated in the OP that it was five channels, not four, so I stopped paying attention to the specifics.

That's my fault. I reached for the "4" and hit "5". I'll edit it.

That info would have made things much easier.
4 ch is R G B UV with no master... 1 2 3 4
5 ch is R G B UV Master.... 1 2 3 4 5

To set colors precisely and be able to control the brightness of that color, you should use 5 ch mode... in my opinion....unless you want strobe or fading fx.

I agree the 5 channel mode will be easiest.  He needs to set the lights up to match the fixture buttons on the board.  IE:1, 17, 33 etc  then he can easily manage the scenes

This is what I was going to suggest. I can't find the manual online, but I work with a cheap board like this and the "scanners" (fixtures) are 16 channels each - no custom fixture profiles allowed. So fixture 1 is 1, fixture 2 is 17, etc.

There are many tutorials on youtube for these controllers.  Same as Obey40 and all the other Chinese clones.
