IIRC the GLD + AR2412 listed at around $14,000US when it first came out.
I think that was about right - IIRC, I paid about $10K street for my first GLD when it was announced in 2012. That said, on paper it seems a lot closer in price and features to the DLive than the SQ. It’s a more-capable one-box mixer (if you can live with 12x12 IO) than the SQ for those that don’t want a mix rack, but it’s also missing the dedicated physical knob section that both the GLD and DLive have. I guess if the touch screen is good enough you don’t need them.

I like the “virtual scribble strips” - the GLD and DLive ones are low-res so you need to abbreviate channel names. This seems like a cost-effective solution so you can actually read what the channel is.

I’m curious to see what the street price will be.

Just noticed this from Sweetwater.

EDIT: There is also some sort of trade in a console (qualifying) for an SQ.

DiGiCo S21/S31 competitor, but way better IMO since the UI has much more physical buttons/controls.
There won't really be any competing products from these two, since they're basically under the same umbrella now.
A&H even makes stuff, like the 4Area system, for DiGiCo.

Okay...how would you define competition though?

I'm not exactly saying they're competing for money. More that there is finally a decent option in the 64ch area besides presonus

I saw the pictures and I have two huge WTF's to point out. The biggest WTF was the stage box. It has a 48 in 16 out format. Why not make it 24 outs? If you are so big you need 48 inputs, you are probably going to need more than 16 outs, but no worries, because A&H has a dedicated 12 output stage box that you can buy to get the other outputs you need..... The biggest issue was not that, but the fact that the power connection and switch was on the front side right under all the inputs!!! I know it will be rare, but there will be someone with a heavy hand that either pulls the power cable out of knocks the power switch when doing a patch.

My other pet peeve is the pay to play FX thing they are doing. It is just a waste of money for an effect that can only be used in a DAW or on that particular mixer. At least with a soundgrid setup, you can use it with just about any mixer. Aside from that it looks to be an amazing tool.

So does all the audio go from the sage box to the console and back, or is the processing done in the stage box and the console is just a control surface? My guess is the former, which is a bummer. Really was hoping for a "poor man's" DLive.
