I did that and found the burger chain.  I have only spoken up a few times in the past.  This seemed obvious, I was wrong, redacted my post.  I had already said "I might be wrong"  Thanks for the clarification.

It looks like V4 has full 168 1 to 1 input patching. This will be a nice addition to the X/M32 family.

Yes indeed - it's now clear that you can use multiple user blocks, all fully customisable, so fully patchable.  That's better than I'd suspected from the Production Partner article - but that wasn't really that clear.  The same for outputs too.  :)

Still got to wait for the firmware to arrive, of course, but what we can see in X-Edit 4.0 is quite clear.

My other slight concern was how long it would take Mixing Station to be compatible - I shouldn't have worried!

As you might already have heared from this page there will be a new firmware for the X32. Mixing Station is already compatible with the new firmware so you can directly go on and update as soon as the firmware will be released.
A quick look on my phone, and sure enough there it is - David is really quite brilliant:

Other than the routing changes, what other features might we expect with V4?

DP48 support and some minor tweaks here and there. V4.0 is not the last release and is supposed to be followed with some more in the future.

But the other big one is a full mixer backup so that you can restore a console in full.

Seems all the moving parts are in place apart from the firmware itself, messing with X-Edit and Mixing Station will only hold me over for so long :P

How do you perform a full mixer backup?

I can't seem to find that option in m-edit 4.0.
