There were two different PRX 618 speakers. The 618 sxlf was/is decent; the other was "disappointing", to say the least.

600 series yes. Pretty sure they were the 18", but could have been a 15" model. In either case, they were working really hard to go nowhere.

There were (2) 18" models in the 600 series. The 618's, and the 618xlf's. I'm betting you had the former.

I have the prx 818xlf and id say its very respectable at its price point. Id like to upgrade to SRX one day but, will have to get there slowly.

Im curious by your description that you use the PRX most of the time? Whys that?

Slightly smaller, better form factor for one person setup, almost as good of sound, better option for small rooms. I use the 615s on poles, and I can lift those up easy. I need help with the SRX system. Yes the SRX rig sounds great. I purchased it for a concert in the park series, but Im backing away from that this year.

Used SRX costs the same as new PRX. GO WITH SRX. While I am not certain exactly which model 600 series sub I had recently used, I can say with certainty that it didn't hold a torch to the SRX.
