I see small DJ's embracing this gear. That doesn't concern me. Problem is when a rental company start stocking up on cheap clones. Lower overhead so they can now undercut legit production companies.
Price compression in the audio equipment business started decades ago and moats, or barriers to entry, from owning gear is not the defense it once was. Then you have weekend wannabes working for free hoping to join the circus. I won't repeat the old joke about how to make a million dollars in the sound business.
"Buyer Beware" has been around so long it was first uttered in latin, caveat emptor.
