Looking about I’m not seeing a combination of portable and solid.   Height needs to be in the 4’ range.  Budget is a couple of hun tops.  Beginning to think about cutting wood and that is probably a terrible idea ;-)

They make tripod projector stands.  You can get an AV cart from a school used equipment dealer.  Road case works too in a pinch.  If nice gig toss some black drape over it

Da-Lite makes a couple of nice projector stands. They break down compactly, and are very adjustable for non-level floors.

How about a 4' stick of box truss with the appropriate base and top plates?  Granted it's a bit bulky in transit, but looks professional and is more than capable of doing the job.

I like the Screenworks E-Z Fold Equipment tower.
-light, small yet sturdy.  Goes together like a fast-fold screen frame with plywood top and drape cover
Sturdy enough for speakers too and can enclose a sub.

If pretty isn't critical, bolt it to the top of a 4' fiberglass stepladder. (Wood ladders tend to not be stiff enough.)

Projector-Stand for the win...   One popped up on the Portland, O
R CL and I snagged it.  I think I’m going to dril a hole, dead center and arrange an eye bolt for a 50lb weight.   That should hold it down no matter what...
