QL5 Cant "Insert" a "copied" scene.
« on: July 04, 2019, 04:39:00 pm »

I posted this in CL/QL forum on FB too but didn't get an answer...

When I copy a scene, I'm unable to insert it. I can only insert a scene which has been cut.

I have no scene in the #300 scene slot. Nothing is tagged as read only or protected. However. It works in about one of twenty tries when copying. It's quite frustrating. What could I be doing wrong?

Edit: After putting my problem into writing again, and reading the reference manual again, I might think I know the reason why I can't insert.

One can't insert scenes if the #300 has a saved scene, according to the manual. So when I cut a scene, I remove it, making my #300 scene be #299. So there's space left to insert.

But when I COPY it, I don't remove any scenes, so my #300 still sits at #300, so no space to insert as #300 would go up to #301, which is not possible. Even though there are lots of free slots in the list? Does this sound reasonable? The only times I've been able to copy/insert must have been after I've removed scenes by using the cut function, and never pasted them back in.

Problem solved. Don't have scenes close to #300.
