Wow, drummer dodged a bullet there.

The person playing percussion on the left may have taken quite a hit but its hard to tell for sure.

Yeah you're right, I thought it was just the LED curtain that hit him at first but it looks like the truss got him too.

It's pretty clear that truss had very little base to it for the height and was not secured correctly.
Add the fact it was outdoors and had banners attached and it's recipe for ...well ...exactly what happened.
Glad no one was seriously injured but I hope the person(s) that installed it were read the riot act!!!

At least the drummer caught it with his head and saved the rest of the band.  ;D

But seriously, those video walls can be like parchutes. You never know when a gust might blown in.

When ever I have a discussion with a promoter about hanging banners on outdoor truss, I remind them to respect the force of the wind.
After all, it's how our ancestors got here...sails!! ;D
