I hate to keep pointing back to the pesky manual, but... per Honda's docs

http://cdn.powerequipment.honda.com/pe/pdf/manuals/pci54494.pdf

The EU7000iS is rated for 5500 watts continuous, 7000 is peak. So, Rob's right on the money. The pages linked above also go into great detail about the "maximum" amount of power available per leg... which appears to be 22.9amps (max).

I hate to keep referencing my original post, but We are actually discussing the ES6000 not the eu7000  ::)

Fair enough. :-)

Manual for ES6500: http://cdn.powerequipment.honda.com/pe/pdf/manuals/31za0723.pdf

According to page 16, total ampere draw is 41.7, and things have to be balanced. There's a chart that diagrams the breakout of the circuits. Also, I don't believe the ES6500 has an inverter, so it may not be ideal for digital gear.

I mention the ES6500 because from what I can find, the ES6000 may not be a US-sale item; all links appear to reference the 6500.

The major benefits of inverter models are fuel efficiency and lower noise when used at current draw significantly below max rating. Also, excellent voltage and frequency regulation.

Non inverters have the best waveforms as perfect sine waves are inherent in alternators.

Most all gear works fine on either. What about inverters is better for digital gear?

Didn't say it was better... just that an inverter may be more "ideal."

From what I understand, inverters play more of a role in smaller generators (like a 6kw model) than they do in larger construction generators.

Guy shares a lot of info about inverters and their benefits in this thread:

Alas, I'll jump out from this topic. Like many topics here on PSW, we've swerved far away from the original question about breaking out the connector.
