Behringer X32 routing
« on: June 09, 2019, 08:14:08 PM »

Hi Guys,
I’m new here but hope some brains trust folks can help.
I have just bought the X32 and love the console but having trouble working out how to send 1 mic to several in ears buses without the signal also going to the main output (outs 15 and 16)
I simply have 1 mic plugged into channel 1
1 in ears pack plugged into output 1 and some powered speakers as FOH
Have routed channel 1 to mix bus 1
I can hear the signal at the in ears but also hear the signal coming out of the FOH speakers.
Obviously I can’t just turn down the main slider because every other channel (once populated) will not be be heard out the front
Please help as I will be using this set up for an MD mic for my clients.
Thanks for your help

Is your mix bus setup to be pre-fader? It needs to be if you want level control to that mix bus independent from the master bus. Does this input need to be heard in the house at all? If it doesn’t, you can unroute that input from the master bus by deselecting the main bus assignment in the channel strip. It’s located near the pan knob, on the right hand side of the channel strip.
