Back the grilles with 100 mesh screen. Available in stainless steel or nylon. It's what EAW and Technomad do.


Any tips for the application ? Thanks!

Oh right, just to ward off some inadvertent off topic... I have rain covers.  Going for a tad more protection on the direct radiating elements.  Whew... swerve avoided in advance (I hope)

We used to use just regular old atlas paper cone ceiling speakers in back boxes for baseball stadiums and other outdoor sports facilities. We sprayed the cones with scotchguard and those speakers lasted for years and years. Granted, these were mounted to an overhang roof, so it was mostly humidity and pigeon poop they had to defend against, but still. Our experience is a positive one with scotchguard....
