I was woundering of anyone has any input on hooking up a electric piano into a church sound system.  Right now i have run both the right and left outputs of the piano into two seperate channels on the mixing board.

Are you having any problems doing it the way you say?  If not -don't worry about it.  The problem may come into play regarding how long the cable run is.  You might want to run the channels through direct boxes to convert them to balanced.  This will generally result in lower noise and a better high freq response.

Most electric pianos are set up to use one channel (L or R) as the mono channel (our Roland is left channel), and it should be marked as such.  To minimize any potential hum and noise, I also recommend a short line cord from the piano or keyboard to a direct box so you can use a balanced line (XLR) channel to your mixer.

We just bought a new electric piano and are using the mono out to an active DI box.  XLR out from DI to 50' snake to the board.  Works great.  Use a monitor for their sound... no issues.
