FreeSpeak II interface with RTS PS-20/BP325
« on: March 13, 2019, 05:10:08 PM »

I'll preface that I have minimal sound/coms experience, I'm on the camera-end professionally. Long story short I've been tasked to set up a FreeSpeak II w/ 15 beltpacks and interface to control room with 5x BP325 tethered back to a PS-20. The FreeSpeak beltpacks are flawless, though my hardlined BP325 have a terrible humming/buzz when volume is adjusted about ~40% and the mic is key'd. All BP325s are connected from a split 6 and I forwent daisy-chaining to avoid this problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there an optimal setting I should be at?

Back of PS-20 switches are set  to 400 and in RTS 2.

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

do you have buzz when not connected to FSII?
normal switch setting is 200
are the fsii and comm system powered from same place?

buzz only when mic on?  Probably a bad or misswired headset
