I’ve had to send one out of about 20 in. I’m using the rechargeable batteries so they never come out.

Yes, we've been having this issue too.

Interestingly it hasn't affected our older L50 and J50 band units (circa 2015), but our newer G50s (ca. 2018) have had a rash of this problem.

I have heard of similar issues with QLXD units, as well. One of ours is coming back from the mothership after such a failure.

This seems very much like a design issue ... as a dealer I know they will fix and stand by their products but makes it harder to recommend as a sale item.

Going to address with shure and see their statement ... they have to see it as a common theme if in 2 days I've got 5 responses on a forum.

Yes, I also had a failure in a QLXD handheld transmitter.  Happened about a month after purchase last year.  Sent it back through Sweetwater who routed it through Shure for a fix.  No problems since.  We also have the rechargeable batteries, so it was not a case of frequently changing batteries (we have the drop-in charger).  We have two of the QLXD handhelds.
