If it's a permanently installed snake, I would rather have an analog snake. I feel it's more dependable. 

At a local music venue were I often work we have an 48 channel analog snake with a monitor split and also a courtesy Cat5 cable ran from FOH. The Cat5 line rarely gets used. But its there.

Most of the bands that bring their own consoles also bring their own snakes and other cabling.

As others have mentioned, having an easy way for visiting acts to pull their own cabling to FOH would be a big plus

No matter what you choose, it will be the wrong choice eventually.  Time marches on.

Run two; one with your connections in it and one empty (with a pull cable in it) for visitors to pull through.
Pulling something through a conduit with something already in it is a pain.

yup.

Conduit from FOH to both sides of the stage also a good idea.  And to/from any other weird place you can think of while you're at it.

I see a lot of riders.  On small houses visiting band engineers aren’t going to want an SQ.  They want an M32.... 

Also bands will probably still want both analog and digital. 

Lastly I don’t typically trust house network cable...  I’d rather a 4 or 6” conduit with a rope that I can pull my own.

I'd much rather have a know path with hooks or troughs to run through than try to fit the connectors of a long multi through conduit.

I agree. I suppose I was thinking trough would be out of the question...  and hooks are generally ugly unless you got a good basement. 

There is an architectural detail I like where a wall has a hole above the baseboard and there is a recessed area where cable can be tucked...   we have that in one theater... wish we had it in more.
