Regarding the stands/sub base... there are couches near the stands. I can fit two legs of the stand flush between the couch and the wall, leaving one leg pointing back toward the stage. Anything square/cubed/solid won't fit into the space in that area. That's the big issue.

When I get a few moments, I'm most likely going to fly whatever speakers I decide on, provided they have appropriate fly-points. Then I can eliminate the stands all together and free up a little more room. Space is a precious commodity.

I've got a demo of the RL-15 and the TT5-A coming up. I think those are the two primary contenders. Unless they are stunningly better than the NX45a, I'll likely keep the RCFs for use down there.

If there's a pole mount on the speakers, you can get wall mount brackets.

Perhaps something like these would simplify having to deal with fly points and floor-joists?
