Backing Track Redundancy

Hi all, I’ve been working with a band that has been using lots of backing tracks and we're getting worried about the reliability of the playback machine as some of our songs are really long and losing backing would be a bad thing!
We were looking at the Radial Switcher but then we were at NAMM yesterday and saw a system that allowed two computers to sync together and switched audio (I think they had it switching Dante) and they even showed us it automatically switching when the computers went wrong. It seemed to detect SMPTE rather than the Radial's tone which seemed better as when my computer has crashed it doesn't always go silent!!
It was one of these:

We're going to ask for a demo but wondered if anyone had used one before or heard of it? Thanks!!
