Covers for Turbosound TFX122M-AN wedges?
« on: January 15, 2019, 12:30:13 am »

Iíve searched just about everywhere and it appears the only company that makes covers for my wedges are Tuki covers..

Anyone know of another company that makes padded covers for these?

Thanks in advance.

There's no Turbosound cover made for the TFX or TFM wedges.

Might be jest as well off the a Gator or EWI flight case. Those Tuki covers are expensive. I use them for my Milan's but would rather have hard cases for about the same $.

Never heard of them.. However will check them out. Currently got a price from Tuki at $85 a bag, not too shabby. Also awaiting a quote from Mike @ Pyle for the Studio slips as well.

Thanks for all the great info fellas. :)

It appears to use the same box as dBtechnologies Flexsys fm series... Maybe their covers will fit.

They make the covers for L'Acoustic.

I had them make a custom cover for my Allen&Heath Qu16.  Great quality.

Ended up going with the Tuki covers. Very well made and thick padding on all corners.
Thank you for all your input fellas.

Did you have to include the "Add material to bottom of cover for complete coverage" option to get the fully wrapped covers in the photos or are those the default $89 covers?

I can't speak specifically about the covers posted here, but all the various Tuki covers I've purchased required selecting the option to make it fully enclosed. Some came with velcro, some with zippers.

I wouldn't expect any of their covers to come as fully enclosed unless it was specified in the product description.

I found some covers on Etsy for $45.75 (give or take depending on the model) for the DB's, assuming they fit the Turbosounds. Shipping is a little high, but you might be able to get the shipping down if you order 4 or 5 pcs.   https://www.etsy.com/listing/156604776/to-fit-db-technologies-flexsys-fm-8-fm10?ref=search_recently_viewed-1

So I sent the seller a message and this is what I heard back in reference to the Turbosound being similar to the Flexsys:  "It is a lot bigger than flexsys .
Most customers draw round side of monitor to give me angled shape on paper and send to me to custom make ."

That's my expectation, too, but with the fully enclosed option checked, the Tuki covers are about the same price as the StudioSlips list price. Assuming Mike or Tim can quote something better than list, I was wondering if the Tuki price was somehow significantly lower.

I'll call Tuki and email Mike to get quotes for my pair of monitors.

I called Tuki. They said that the "Add material to bottom of cover for complete coverage" option was unnecessary. The $89 price is for a full bag, not a slip on cover. He's going to update the website to remove that option.
