I believe the Ultimo is only limited to 2 x 2 when using at 88.2/96K... at 44.1/48K they are 4 x 4.

Flows, not channels. The upshot being that your four outputs can only be fed from a maximum of two separate devices. The inputs (going to the Dante network) can always be configured as a multicast flow if necessary.
