Anyone using (or have used) the Rock-n-roller Multi-carts?  Looking for something more efficient to move heavy "one offs" of equipment boxes and assorted other boxes.  I use a 2-wheeler for some equipment and have assorted casters that are placed under other boxes.

The 2-wheeler and casters are doing fine, but would like something that can take a lot more gear in one "move".  Came across the Rock-n-roller - looks like it may work, but I'm always suspicious of ads.  Need something somewhat durable.

I bought the R12.  The larger tires make it easier to traverse grass, gravel, etc.  I use it mostly to carry drum gear, but occasionally haul 12" mains and other equipment.  It works well for my needs.  If the distance from vehicle to set-up area isn't far, I find it easier to simply leave the cart at home and make more trips.

I have one.  Don't use it that much for SR gig but it is handy on playing gigs where you want to pile a bunch of odd shaped stuff on and make one trip of it.  The large pneumatic tires roll decently over lawns and such but you sort of have to lift the caster end a bit over some things.  Kinda bulky, and not super easy to fold up, but it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.  I hauled all the ready-mix and stucco bags into my back yard when I built my project studio using the thing.  Had to repaint it afterwards, but it's still going strong.

What about a Magliner ?

These are very tough and can haul about 1000# when used as a cart.

Rock’nRoller cart ?  Hell yeah!
2 k12’s,2k10’s,1x15 bass cab.  Mixer in tool box, cable bag, bass amp, 2 mic stands, pedal board, personal carpet...  1 trip.  Sound gigs ?  Never.  I got people for that ;-)  Band gigs ?  Oh,hell yeah.

I bought an R12 a few years ago when I was doing a lot of mobile recording in NYC. I found myself fighting it constantly, and wishing I had sprung for a Magliner Gemini Jr (as Ed Hall recommends above), which I had used extensively in the 90s and will probably buy again when the need arises.

This is the cart you want.  We used these at my last job after wearing out a LOT of rock-n-rollers.  I flew with these all over the world and loaded them up with a TON of weight.  They are Awesome!

Oh, one small issue.  They cost 900 bucks...

I used to swear by them.  The big ones with the solid tires but the truth is of you need it you are packing wrong and don't have the right cases/material handling.

It just causes more work,  you have to load and unload at each end of the trip.

Small gigs you strap the mains to the subs,  monitors on their own caster boards.  Mixer lights and stands ride on a road case with cables, mics and such.  Mic stands go in a trade show or hard sided golf club case.

Spent the cart money on a good ramp.

I used one for smaller work.  Then one cold winters night while loading in a small duo at a hipster bar known for its small plates and craft cocktails... the bolts for the front two wheels sheared off!

True story.  It worked fine for what it was.  I kept it in the back of my pickup truck, it was unusually cold last January, around 0-10 degrees, the front wheels hit a small bump in the sidewalk and adios.  They just snapped.  Hah.  Check out some of the industrial options and leave the Rock N Rollers for the drummers.
