d&b Audio Amplifiers
« on: December 14, 2018, 03:49:41 AM »

Hi everyone,

I am curious to know if anyone has/is using other manufacturer amplifiers with d&b loudspeaker systems? Would like to get their/your feedback in regards to performance, DSP settings, and any other information with regards to such an application.

Cheers,

Dan.

The only d&b speaker i know of which can be used with a generic amp is the max15, which then needs some minor eq. All others require a d&b amp.

To my knowledge everyone overhere in Europe do use apropriate amps, be it p1200, a1 or some d-series, and with the correct settings or cards.

A used d12 can be had for around $1600. A p1200 is much cheaper.

d&b doesn't sell speakers. They sell systems.

May i ask which d&b speakers you want to amp?

d&b speakers without the proper amps is not a d&b system.  It's drivers in a box, possibly with a cool waveguide, but that's it.  Just bite the bullet and buy the right amps.
