Getting back to the original question, while the OP's lights cannot be powered by dimmed power, there are fixtures that can such as ETC's Source 4WRD:

The advice in this thread is likely a better fit for the OP, but thought I would point this out.

ip65 all weather and out side.  The donners your asking about are not up to the weather and moisture.  So the cables on the units and the DMX is the best answer for the weather because the DMX connectors on the units have water tight connections.
