Clear-Com TW-47
« on: November 16, 2018, 02:28:14 PM »

Hi, does anyone have the pinouts of the DB-9 connector on the TW-47?
I'm trying to connect a Kenwood radio to a FOR-22 and all I can find is the schematics for the TW-47 which has different pinouts.

I've attached the pinouts for both units since i'm not sure which you need.

The TW-47 also has a number of jumper options and such depending on how your particular radio keys the mic.  I suspect the FOR-22 does as well.

Clearcom's documentation section has been VASTLY improved very recently, and it's fairly easy to find documentation on most of their products right from the source.  That's where i got these.  :)

Thanks, yes I also found out that they have done some work on the documentations and I have looked at the same pics as You provided, but I guess what I was looking for was a pinout table for the TW-47 in the line of that one for the FOR-22, naming all the pins so I could just transfer the schematics that I have. But I think I figured it out now.

Haha, well I still have trouble to get it to work but starting to think it is the FOR-22 card itself. I can't get even the Send Level indicator to flash when sending audio from the Eclipse.

Aand sudden flashbacks of trying to get the digital motorolas to work.  What a pain.

After some mails with Clear-Com support the conclusion seems that the card is faulty. I'm sending it on vacation in Germany for a little bit.....

Well, that's a bummer.  But at least you found out that it wasn't you that was wiring it wrong.  :)
