Hello everyone!  I have been looking at and speaking with Audix and my local reps about the new Audix VX5 wireless transmitter with the R41 or R61 receiver.  Have any of you used these?  Have you compared them directly to the older Shure UHF-R or ULX-D?

The price point is great and I absolutely love the VX5 capsule.  We are looking into going with the Shure ULX-D, but the Audix looks promising.  The audix accepts Shure capsule types as well.

Any advice from experience with these audix systems with the VX5 transmitter would be much appreciated!

Great!  The VX5 is one of my favorite vocal mics!  If this system doesn't work out, the Audix VX5 capsule does screw directly on the shure wireless transmitters.  I have an older ULX system that I tested it out on.  It's a lot better than the Beta 87a on most vocalists.  Once in a while I come across someone that the 87a sounds better on.

Oh Interesting.  I had no idea there was interoperability.  My whole band sings on vx-5’s.  We love’em...  I sang on an EV of some sort last night.  Felt weird...  not forgiving of placement.
