Rackmount connector

Has anyone ever seen a Thunderbolt that can be Rackmount Ed? I know they make a Mini display port, but this is for MADI feeds therefore needs to be a true Thunderbolt

What do you mean? MADI is usually BNC connectors, no?

BNC, CAT5, or fiber.

Besides, TB1&2 ARE Mini DisplayPort connectors. TB3 are Usb-C connectors.

Not sure what you mean, Al...

Hi Al,

Here's a pretty good explanation of why you're not going to find one.

The TB 1&2 is the same connector body MDP. I don't think they are wired up the same.

Last week I tried to use an MDP cable to connect to a Thunderbolt 2 UAD Apollo and it didn't work. Replaced with actual TB cable and it worked fine. TB3 to MDP cable also did not work correctly.

I would concerned that a panel-mount pass-through connector may have the same issues.
