That's a cool experiment for the basement venue! Isolating the subs will definitely be worth testing.

Out of your options, industrial bubble wrap or possibly some dense rubber isolation pads might be the best bet.

Foam mattress and cardboard likely won't be dense enough, and springs could introduce unwanted resonance.
