AMT Q7 LS vs LS-Mini
« on: October 16, 2018, 12:50:02 PM »

Anyone have any experience with the AMT Q7 equipment? I have a sax player who needs to replace an existing wireless system (it's in the 600MHz range), and he's looking at the Q7-LS or the Q7-LS Mini.

His biggest want is to have a completely wireless mic as he switches saxophones regularly throughout the show. He'd prefer to not use a belt-pack if possible.

Does anyone have experience with:
https://appliedmicrophoneshop.com/products/amt-q7-ls-mini

or

https://appliedmicrophoneshop.com/products/amt-q7-ls

Or... any other suggestions/things to consider?

Thanks in advance.

You seem to be located in the USA, where is this Sax player located? The mics seem to only be set up for Australia, Sweden and The Netherlands in the 600 band and the 860 band.

Good catch, Mac. Yep - we are both in the USA. That said, my local rep for AMT said that they do have a 900-928MHz option for the USA.

He's really adamant about finding a system that doesn't use a beltpack. He's currently using a Samson Airline system, but it's causing him some issues and will soon be illegal (it's also in the 600 band).
