Peavey Assisted listening issues
« on: October 14, 2018, 10:00:35 PM »

One of the guys I supervise brought me a Peavey receiver from their church (he knows I am involved in sound at my church).  He said 3 of the 4 receivers they have are intermittent to the point of being all but useless with multiple earbuds/headphones.

My first thought is "you get what you pay for" and they are just cheap-but in fairness, do they use a proprietary plug/jack?  Is anyone aware of any known issues with these units?

Yes the installer/dealer should step up-but I'm thinking that won't happen.

I would guess the intermittent issues he is having are RF related.
Asking him where they have the transmitter located.

I think they got what they paid for, real assisted listening systems start at about $1000 more than the one they have.
