I got this console at a killer bargain-basement price, and have for the most part been really happy with it. But lately, I’m having issues with some of the mono input channels. Dropouts, and static (the kind that comes ftom bad connections.) My intentions is to go into the bad channels and replace the “gain” (trim) pots, and also the “pad” and “phase” switches, since these are the first three items with a typical mortality rate. Has anyone else had similar issues, and what was your fix for it? Replacing pots and switches isn’t that difficult. GETTING TO THEM is a pain, and I’d like some level of certainty that I’m making my repairs in the right area. Thanks in advance if you’ve been thru this and have some wisdom to share.
