Relatively thin crowd in one of the videos.  I think there's a whole bunch to this story... like where was security?

Perfectly valid reaction to Evanescence cancelling.

-or-

Youd be mad too if you had to listen to Papa Roach.

I was following this after a friend who wanted to attend told me about it.

There was some kind of barrier failure at the main stage during Behemoth's set that couldn't be repaired. What's still unclear is if it was the organizers that decided to cancel the last two acts (Slipknot and Evanescence) over 'safety concerns', or the performers themselves as I've seen it reported both ways. The barrier in question was sectioning off a VIP area that was right up in front of the stage. Either people got pissed they couldn't get up close, or the sheer power of Behemoth's set made the barrier the weakest link. I feel like it's a bit of both having seen them live in the past lol

Tensions were already high before that because the main stage area was way too small for the number of people that showed up (like 20k+ bodies smaller than what was needed) and staffing was extremely thin. Apparently the promoter/organizer (Live Talent) has a good bit of history of overselling events. So lots of factors at play, and none of them doing the event any favors, it seems.

It was in Mexico City, so you're way north of where this happened. Granted, I feel like BMG attendees would be less of a crowd control nightmare compared to the heavier acts that were at Knotfest.
