Hi Guys,

I wanted to see if anyone here had any insight to this.

I have a dozen or so audio technica ATM350 clip on mics that I use for horn players, strings, and general purpose use. I am being requested to make some of the horn players wireless , I have QLXD1 and ULXD1 body packs in inventory. I would love to avoid having to buy mics to accommodate this if possible and use the ATM350 I have in inventory already.

From what I have researched ,

I will need a TA3m to Ta4F adapter , with the pinout from the TA3M wired to TA4F wired as follows
TA3m pin 1 - shield to TA4F pin 1 shield
Ta3m pin 2 - to pins 3 & 4 TA4f
Ta3m pin 3 - to pin 2 TA4f

I see a few different ones available online, but there are no details of how the pin out from the TA3M is wired to the TA4F, there is only 1) available on ebay that says it is for AKG to shure , but I am having trouble confirming if this will work.

Any insight is greatly appreciated !

thanks!

I'm not 100% about the AT side of things, but the Shure pinout is:
Pin 1: ground/shield
Pin 2: +5 vdc
Pin 3: Audio
Pin 4: 20k resistor to ground (used to complete DC circuit in some topologies)

I went and look at a couple AT clip-on mics we have (ATM35) and they've got the 4-pin Hirose connector instead of TA3.

Your ATM 350's sound like they normally use the XLR pre amp barrel.
Not sure a simple connector swap would work in your case, I would call AT to double check.

Simple connector swap works for ULXD1. Does not work for QLXD1, output of the  atm is too high. ULXD has input pad, QLXD not
