Yes Samson, it is junk but I have got my 50 bucks I paid off of eBay for it.

I still use an old Samson rig for my guitar system.  It's a plastic, Single Frequency [via crystal], VHF rig.  I've had it since the early 90's and it has failed to work exactly one time out of probably thousands.  At this point, i've basically incorporated the companding into my "sound" and i don't think i'd actually be happier with a "cleaner" unit.

Just thought i'd throw that out there in case i was sounding judgey.  :)

Has ypur crystal drifted Bryan?That's the only thing I have had to do to the Samson ears.

Weirdly, no.  At least not enough to have it no longer work.  I'm never really more than a few feet away from the receiver.  But every so often i've taken a stroll and it still works at least 50 feet away.

I have several transmitters and receivers, all Samson SR22 units, all on channel 4.  They've continued to all work remarkably well considering how cheap they actually are.
