Is this just a defective channel?

Anyone else seen this failure mode?

brand new, first gig.

Connected to M32r, ch 14 on the DL16 is noisy. Also noisy in SN master mode.

Reset and checked firmware updates. Different CAT5e cables checked, Shielded/non doesn't matter.

Level of Noise changes with the pre-amp gain.

noise is about 30db down on a line level signal.
