Putting a small system together and have settled on a few options for a pair of 12" tops. Any preferences? The three I was thinking of were QSC K12.2, Turbosound IQ12 or Yamaha DXR12. It's going to be a small system so I'm only using one sub. (QSCKW181) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The reason for one sub is?

If not that much SPL is needed, the DSRs might be overkill and DXR10s would be fine.  If there's a big bass amp in use and the sub is only to help out the kick drum but there are also screaming guitar amps involved, then the DSRs might be the ticket.

It really depends on the music, the venue, and what is being run though the PA.

Already tried that. Most shoot back 5 or more years with a few sprinkled in. K12.2 weren't even around when most of these posts were done. I thought just maybe some fresh insight would be good, but thanks for the help.

There have been 3 such threads in the last 45 days dealing with 12" vs 15" vs 10" vs other 12" models.  Tweaking the search terms might give more responses.

I know about the FA's, they're amazing but way over budget for what I'm using them for. This is a happy hr, light rock, small club set  up.
