I'm waiting for V5.0.1, although the addition of the Neve 5045 to the Premium rack makes me want to risk it.

CL/QL series firmware update to V5

Getting a Dante firmware mismatch between the console and an Ri8, after all three updates completed successfully (console to 5.00, NAME SUB CPU and Dante to 4.08.2).

Try reupdating everything. I've had to do it twice a couple of times even after the updater said everything was fine.

Issue resolved: used the R Remote app to update the Ri8 and Dante firmware (http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/global/en/downloads/firmware_software/rio/ri8-d_firm_latest.jsp).

Strange. My QL5 doesn't show the SUB version any more after upgrading the FW. I've tried several times and it says that SUB upgrade was a success. SUB = v1.03 when I stick in the USB stick.

The CL3 seemed fine after the upgrade. But this one shows SUB = 5.00

+1  I've never used the 5045, but we have some soft spoken pastors that I think could benefit from this.  I have CLs and QLs that I'll update once I'm confident in the stability of V5.  Keeping an eye on this thread.

I'm curious about it too, I've used a 5045 inserted on a bus via the card slots and found that you have to hit it pretty hard with signal for it to do its job.

The threshold range on the virtual 5045 is -42 to -12dB, Yamaha scale where 0dB is the hard ceiling. So you still need to have a strong signal coming in.
